We chose the water-based finish for a lighter appearance. For us, a great change from the darker, more yellow-colored traditional finish. Really, a straight-forward and high quality experience with Miguel and his crew. He was prompt in terms of getting us an estimate for the work to be done, and flexible in terms of when his team were able to come in and complete the work, given we had other contractors with planned committments. We wanted to refinish/replace the entire floor covering before moving into our first house with a tight timeline and Kings Flooring delivered! They replaced some part of carpet with new matching oak planks weaved in. Both were sanded, custom stained, and finished with water based matte polyurethane. Miguel and team were very responsive and frequently checked in to make sure everything was done as we expected, even after the project was completed. Our stair treads and risers were in a worse condition than expected but their carpet installer took the effort to french cap them with a tailored look. We are very happy with our floor and so is our kitty.
